SPOILERS MAYBE! In the Neo X-Deth battle, this message came up: [spoilers] the universe is in peril! . What the heck does this mean?

As I recall, "The universe is in peril!" is Neo Ex-Death's way of instantly dispelling any positive status like Haste or Shell throughout your entire party.

Doesn't it say "The universe is in peril!" shortly before Neo Ex-Death uses his standard-issue Really Bad For Everyone attack?
