Quina's Gender...

So, What gender do you think of Quina as? Male, Female, or both?

I always thought of 'it' with a odd sorta voice, that could belong to either gender. I thought of 'it' as a male sometimes, but a female most of the time.

So Quina's gender...post away!

Quina is neither male nor female. The Qu are androgynous. This is fact rather than opinion, I'm afraid...

Plus I just thought of something...If they are Androgynous, why did Vivi call his adoptive father, 'Uncle' Which could go with, how do they reproduce?

They reproduce by mating, just like any other species. Only thing is, they don't have to look for someone of the opposite sex. Kinda full of opportunities, don't ya think?

Vivi probably called Quan 'uncle' for want of a better term. Uncle/aunt is a but cumbersome if you try to say it too often.

In the game, characters generally refer to Quina as 's/he'. It's difficult to say without sounding dopey, but it's accurate enough.

Oh dear oh dear... that comment's going to get some great responses.

Ir's made fairly clear that all Qu are androgynous. So basically, Quina could become either a mother or a father - depends on the specifics of Qu mating, though, which is something that doesn't bear thinking about.

a GIRL of course. If she was a boy...... she would have "married" vivi.... thus making her gay. I dont think that square would put that in a t rated game. plus.... she wears pink. sure... some men wear pink. but a pink APRON.......yes... defenately female.

Quina is clearly defined as having no gender, but it always seemed more feminine than Quale and Quan. Although I was aware of its' lack of gender, I did think it was female, if it had to be defined.

Quina's gender never needed 'defining', for me. Quina is neither male or female - or both, if you prefer. This is a fact, from the game. Quina is neither a "boy", nor a "girl".

However, I'm awfully tempted to abuse my modly powers and change that poll so that five thousand people are in favour of "cupcakes". ;)

But Quina and Vivi Did get married, right aloung side Zinane and Dagger! My file can prove it, 101 marrages, the plaque reads, while before it read 99, so I say that Quina is female. And that's what I voted too. Imagine that.:rolleyes2
