I dunno how to add my printer! It says it doesn't have this XP logo trademark! My printer is APOLLO btw. So what will I do? Does this mean I need to get a new printer?

Did it come with an install disk? Try to use it. Even if it was for a different version of Windows, it might still work. If not, look on the website of the company who made the printer to see if they have XP drivers for download.

Windows XP Professional = Windows 2000 with a hat
Windows XP Home = Windows 98 with a hat.

Just use the driver for 98 or 2000.

I'd recommend a driver for Win2k since WinXP is more in likeness to Win2k than Win98 (either version of XP). When it says Warning, this isn't signed, just click Install Anyway, and it should be fine.

If it still refuses, you can either search on Google for drivers for WinXP for that printer, or install some generic print driver or one for a similar (but older/lower model number) model printer by the same manufacturer that WinXP does recognise.

USB? Plug it in, turn it on, and let Windows do the rest.
Parallel? Plug it in, turn it on, if Windows doesn't find it, just go to Start > Parameters > Printers and fax, then click on "add a new printer"
