OKAY! WHAT DO I DO HERE?:mad2: In the opera house, I [for some reason] am having trouble getting to Ultros. :mad2: I can't get past all those DAMN RATS!:mad2: :mad2: :mad2: The time always runs out before I even get to the last rat. What do I do? The optional charaters I have are Sabin, and Cyan. When I fight them, I kill the green mice before the yellow rats die. When the yellow mice are left, more green mice come! What do I do? I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE this because I have to do the opera scence ALL over again?

You have to kill a certain kind before the other (I forget which though) also you should ignore most of the rats, you should try and avoid getting into a fight with them. Also leveling a bit should help you also.

Hey, chill. Aim at the rats so that they all die pretty much at the same time. Once you go through everything a few times, it's not as hard.

It's Ultros you have to worry about.

The yellow rats have like 200 more HP than the yellow rats. It's the time. It takes me like 1 minute to beat one battle. And I can't escape them either. There too fast for me to escape.

There are ways to evade them, aren't there? Run back and forth if you need to.

They're WAY too quick. If I get near them, they'll chase me.

They both have a weakness, fire and ice respectivly. Those spell could always be handy. :)

The spells suck in these battles. It'll kill the green ones but the yellow ones would be alive and just get more green ones.

You have to kill the yellow ones first, then get rid of the green ones. Use Sabin's blitz and Cyan's techs, and avoid the rats as best you can. That's really all you can do. Go level up some if it's still not working.

the difficulty depends on the characters you choose.

it would be EASIER if you chose Edgar (auto crossbow) and Sabin's Fire Dance..

remember that you can make your way back to Narshe via the castle to switch parties.

1. Seriously, level up.
2. Go get Edgar, and use drill or chainsaw on the yellow rat.

Buy it at Figaro Castle.

OR....you can tell everyone to physically attack the yellow rat (vermin) until it dies. then hit the green ones (sewer rat) with Fire Dance and Auto Crossbow. if you get low on health, use Kirin or cure. if you have a LOT of free time to mess around, which i bet you wont, use Siren to confuse them all and watch them attack each other

Yeah, like they've said, yellow before green. Drill, Aura Bolt and Dispatch will work. If you use Gau, use Templar. Just fight with Locke.

the best approach is to have characters dealing damage to ALL enemies..i would skip the thought of using Gau as his attack is random..(unreliable)

Templar = Fire 2 = More powerful magic than anyone else you have so far.

Sure it's random, but even his regular fight with Templar is pretty strong.

I suggest the higher levels and the Sabin/Edgar combo. Fire Dance and Autocrossbow with them, while attacking the yellow one with Locke.

My bodyguards for Locke are Sabin and Edgar. Once Sabin does Fire Dance, the 2 black ones should die. Then have Edgar Drill / Chain Saw the yellow one. It toook me less than 30secs per fight.
