Well I have been searching everywhere for a good way to convert my WAV's into MP3's so they'll be smaller so I can email them to someone, and all the ones I have tried either on't work, or compress them into some weird file type.

So if anyone knows of a good free one I'll be happy. And I really could use this by monday sometime early.

www.downloads.com should be some thing there. If not I highly doubt that there is any thing good to begin with.

Google search for LAME MP3 encoder, that's my favourite, despite being a command line tool :p

I can provide you with Creative Playcentre if you like... it's very good :)

Actually I got a good one off of Download.com that's doing just what I need. Thanks for the help though.

I like mp3pro, myself (I use Nero's WaveStudio to encode it), because it gets smaller filesize without sacrificing a noticeable amount of quality.
