You're talking about FFVI. FF3 was only released in Japan. FFVI is known as FF3 in the U.S.

My favorite character is Kefka by the way.:D

I'd either say Shadow, cause he's the man or Kefka cause he's so evil and he becomes a demigod and he kills Leo

ff3 - either the theif or sage. haven't experimented with the different jobs a whole lot.

ff6 - terra without a doubt.

Gogo is definitely my favourite. You can choose what he is, he looks cool, and his only downfall is that you can't equip espers to him. He knows every magic attack known by other characters, and can mimic them without using any MP!

Locke is my favourite character.

Numerous characters are favorites.

I liked General Leo. His ability kicks ass. Man I would have loved to have him as a main character. Ah well...

I always used Locke, he was my man with the Genji Glove, Offering, Illumina, and Atma Weapon.

I just found Mog funny.

Gogo is just plain good. Give him/her Magic and any two other good skills (I often used Blitz and whatever else I'm in the mood for) and he/she is just too good.

Cyan without a doubt except he only had about 5 lines in the whole game, but those were the best 5 lines ever!

Mog, Gau, Gogo, Shadow, and Celes

Celes

I love all the characters, they have such interesting personalities...but I guess Locke is my favorite. He is such a helping guy, always doing the right thing, and he is sneaky and a thief, but in a good way.

(Omni Legacy, I think I spelled your name right, I love your Toad picture, I remember him! He was a good character, too!)

Locke... His lines are great and I like the whole Celes and Rachel stuff...
But there are too many good characters for such a short game...

I would make an honorable mention to:
Setzer - I like his lines, his backgrond and his Gambit style
Shadow - Another great character, I like the way he runs away from his past and feeds upon his sorrow. Cool
Celes - I love all the drama around her. Oh, and she is HOT. lol
Cyan - It's great the whole thing with his mind being tortured by his memories.
Kefka - The greatest villain EVER

*Unmarked spoilers ahead*

I'm not sure which character is my favourite. I liked many of FF6 characters for different reasons.

Terra: I really liked her being half Esper, half human. The crisis that she had when pondering whether she's an Esper or a human was a nice episode. Then she wanted to know what love is, and in the end she finally finds it out. She had great character development, and the fact that she's your first character makes her interesting as well.

Locke: He was an interesting character too. The flashbacks about Rachel were touching, and I really liked the way how Locke started to have warm feelings towards Celes. Locke having this insecurity about that the same fate would happen to Celes if he'd love her... simply touching. :)

Celes: An ex-imperial general, she had great character development as well. First being somewhat arrogant (at least that's what she seemed like to me) but later on she's a very nice and caring person. I loved the scenes between her and Locke, they were so emotional and some of them were very funny too. An overall good character.

Edgar & Sabin: Their story was an interesting one, like Edgar taking the responsibility for taking the throne and letting Sabin go and live in freedom. I liked the scenes involving them. They also had much character development, which was nice. And it was funny to see Edgar flirt with girls. ;)

Cyan: His story was very tragic: first losing his family to the poison that Kefka set loose, and later on Wrexsoul taking an advantage of Cyan and using his sorrow and hatred. I felt sorry for Cyan when his family died - such an emotional scene. Cyan was a good character and had character development as well.

So, it's hard for me to choose a favourite among these. I just like them all for different reasons and no one really stands out from the crowd to be my favourite. The ones I've mentioned are nice characters and I really liked their stories. :)

Cyan. I can relate to his aversion toward machines. That, and the reasons put down in the post above.
