PS2 DVD problem

I don't have a widescreen TV for my PS2, and no matter how much fiddling I do in the menu I can't stop everything made to look thin. Anyone know how to solve this? Thanks.

Did you try changing the aspect ratio?

If the option is going to be anywhere, it'll be in the PS2 BIOS, just switch the machine on without a disc in and look through the options there.

Maybe you're just watching DVDs that only have widescreen versions. If that's the case, making it full screen would strech it out and make it look like ass.

If they don't work, then thats how the DVD is. Besides, its still alright widescreen.
