I have the D2 LOD expansion pack, I burned it on a CD-R becuase I lost the origional disc along with the packaging that came with the CD Key. Key generators won't work because when I use one the game will install but when I try to play the expansion set it says "Please insert Diablo 2 LOD expansion disc" I think the key from the generator migh be to blame. can anyone help me out?

Also can anyone give me an unused Key if possible?

The key is not the problem. The copy is.

To make it short, CDs nowadays are copyprotected so that when you make a copy of it, you necessarily lose the information that certifies it's an original, and when you play a copy of it, the program check if it's an original or not, and if not, politely asks you to insert an original.

I think CloneCD is able to make a flawless copy; Most cd-burning programs, though, ignore bad sectors, so a lot of software companies intentionally write bad sectors to their CDs as a way of copy protection.

Damn you Nero

I thought Nero could do it, too *shrug*

No, I don't think Nero can. CloneCD and BlindWrite will copy the "bad" sectors though to give you a perfect copy though. Blindwrite also has some other thing that'll make sure the layout of the sectors is also identical on the copy, although that crashed my PC last time I tried to see how it worked :p

Is it possible to download Clone CD and will clone CD make an imagefile with the exact file information of the CD so I can burn it later? Because the only CD-Rom drive in my system is my burner.

Of course. In fact, I usually only do the ripping to a file on the HD and don't burn a backup disc, since I can stuff the CD image into a virtual CD drive instead and get HD speed CDs then :p

Point me in the direction of CD Clone.

While these programs might be able to do a 1:1 copy, you need to remember that both the drive you read from and the drive you write with need to be able to handle such protections.

They make no-CD cracks for games, which are nice if you want to copy an entire CD to your HD for example so that it runs faster. Maybe search for no-CD cracks.

Unne I only have like 1.8 gigs of HD space left. I hate my sucky HD so no CD cracks won't work.

Also, while using cracks, you won't be able to play on Battle.net, and that's no good.
