Statue in Lindblum Grand Castle

Does Anyone know whats with the statue of someone pouring water in the Lindblum castle, on the screen before the lift on the mid level???

u go up to it, and there is an '!' so u press X and u read the inscription, then Zidane says "Hmm...looks like there's no place to put the medal..."...WHAT MEDAL??? Ive finished the game several times, but Ive never worked it out... i think it could be the Master Hunter, or the S-Rank Medal, or perhaps the Falcon claw or the Alexandrian Pendant...whatever it is, it's annoying me 'cos I don't know if u can get cool stuf if you figure it out...so if anyone knows, could u plz tell me???

It's just an inside joke...

If you've played Resident Evil, there's a similar scene in the game where you place a medal into a statue in a fountain.

There were q few RE fans on the Square staff... maybe they were just saying hello or something... ;)
