I always like the weapons that have a life absorb/leech ability on them, like a blood sword or such. Just as long as you don't attack any undead monsters, you're pretty much set for the game.

Leeching weapons were always great for levelling up, because you didn't need a mage to heal you.

But I like weapons which inflict slow. It basically cripples the enemy for the rest of the battle.

Weapons whose attack is based on current HP are pretty cool. I like how they ignore defense and row.
