Did anyone like the disc changing in FF7-9. It didnt bother me, but I know there are some who got so stressed when they had to change discs. And if FF7 were to be remastered and remade, do you think it would be close to a second disc? Because after reading an interview with Square aboiut FFX, it came real close to having a second disc... and well, since theres more to do in FFVII, do you think it would have a second disc. this may be confusing but here:

-Do you like changing disc during the game?

-If FFVII were remade, would it have a second disc?

Changing discs is no hassle at all. My only gripe is having to get off my lazy ass to walk 5 feet over to the play station. :p Actually, the only time I had problems with disc changing was when I was playing FF7 on my PC and my cdrom drive sucked a lot of stuff. It wouldn't open when you pressed the eject button. So that was a pain. :p

As for FF7 remake, it's not going to happen, so I doubt it will be 2 discs. :)

ff7 took 50 some hours w/o any sidequests. ffx took 30 hours w/o sidequests

You must of played FF7 pretty slow then. It took me around 55 hours to do everything in that game (besides beating the Weapons). I've also gone through FF7 in less than 35 hours, so yeah.

FFX on the other hand took me around 60 to 80 hours.

Most PSX games were only multidisc due to the massive amounts of FMVs used by them though. You can easily find single disc RPGs with just as much game content but lack FMVs (eg Legend of Mana, Tales of Phantasia), or the other extreme of really short RPGs with loads of FMVs causing it to become multidisc (eg Parasite Eve).

Besides, if the FFs you mentioned were to be remade for the PS2 or whatever, they'd probably use DVD instead so not as likely to need multiple discs, even if they improved the FMV quality :p

not trying to spam or flame or anything, but cd roms have 700 megs, so that would have made ff7 around 2 gigs or so. dvds have 4 gigs. so if ffvii were to be remade using ps2 graphics, i dunno i think it might come close. seeing that ffx almost needed a second disc. im assuming psx discs were cd rom since u could put come into a cd player and it would read the music files.
