WHAT THE HECK IS IT!!! (Final battle spoilers)

i was wondering if anyone knew about something in the final battle with Ultimecia. about halfway through the fight, another target comes up. it is something hanging from underneath her. WHAT THE HECK IS IT!!!!! please help

She draws Apocalypse from the second part, which does major ouch. So you might wanna take it out. You don't have to though.

That 'hanging part' is Ultimecia's real body. Scan it and take a look. Her Human form, arms cossed, a network of thick red-grey veins connecting her to the giant transformed monster she's created.
