Could anyone recommend me a good, cheap digital camera? i feel so Amish without one.

I don't know which one is the best to get, but I can offer a few pointers. First, don't get a camera that uses a digital zoom. Get one that uses an optical zoom. Digital zooms chew up a lot of the battery when zooming and because the camera slows down to set the zoom up right your pictures can be blury. Also, if you're looking cheap, a 2 megapixel camera should cover your needs just fine. I'm looking at buying a camera and 3 megapixels is the max I am going to buy. Unless you are going to print posters from your pictures or have some other need for extremely high resolution, you don't need more than 3 megapixels.

So in closing the criteria that I'm using to narrow down my hunt for a digital camera is to get one that has a 3 megapixel resolution and has a good zoom that isn't digital. Hope this helps.
