With the Red Wings in FFIV and Avalanche in FFVII, I wonder if there are any other hockey references and if the programmers at Square are/were hockey fans?

The Slapper (http://www.ffcompendium.com/~Skylark/ff8/Slapper.jpg) from FF8.You get to fight them at Galbadia garden,inside the hockey rink.
