View Full Version : Things You Might Not Have Been Aware Of.

I was messin' around in the Colosseum yesterday, with Shadow playing the part of my war machine. As I'm sure you all are aware of, the computer isn't too bright, and so he was pulling moves that he didn't really need to. One of them was to cast Life on himself.

I wasn't aware this could happen, but he actually blocked the spell that he cast on himself. He cast Life. . . and then blocked it. Did anyone else know that could happen?

And then, that chick in Mobliz is Katarin or Katrin. I'm sure that's just a typo, but I thought I'd mention it, anyway. What other random things have you noticed?

I once had Interceptor counter-attack after Sabin was attacked when he and Shadow were in the Imperial Camp.

Katarin/Katrin isn't eactly the only time Woolsey typoed his own name in the script - witness the Siegfried/Sigfried/Zigfried confusion :P

(heck, I could rant about Woolsey for hours, but I'll spare you, especially since most of my stuff at the moment would be gripes with the Chrono Trigger script :P)

As for other random things I've noticed? I don't even know where to begin, it's such a daunting task. I've played FFVI far too many times for my own good, I think :P

My favorite detail is that if you alternate talking between the wounded soldier in Moblitz with talking with the guy who describes the Serpent's Trench, you can finish all his requests in under ten minutes, without ever leaving Moblitz.

And the Daryl/Darrill (just looked at my world map (for those of you who don't have the SNES cart, it came with a neat map) - says Darrill's Tomb).

Something I noticed, in the SNES version, Phoenix down is spelled Fenix down, and Biggs(of Wedge and Biggs) is spelled Vicks.

:) Better yet, just go into the relic shop and use the bed. I find that to be even more effective.

Here's something else I noticed that I hadn't before. . .

When you take Gau to meet his father and everyone is deciding what clothes for him to wear, Cyan mentions something about a hat. What's that about?

And Cyan's "Book of Secrets". . . They never mention what exactly is in it, do they?

I think in FFVIj the "Book of Secrets" was a porno mag, they just edited it for the American audiences.
