The best ending?

Which Final Fantasy had the best ending? Please state why.

In my opinion it's FF7. The whole thing with the Lifestream was amazing...

FFVIII by far. Despite how the plot was put together, the ending left you feeling happy at what you had just accomplished, as we got to see a glimpse of how all the characters fared after the events of the game. Plus there's always new things about it that flash by too fast (most of them I had discovered through these forums) such as the face-less Squall and Griever moon. The only thing I didn't like too much was the random swirly patterns and images flashing around the screen. As a friend said it looked like Squaresoft was just trying to show off.

Second would be FF7, though it left too much open for it to simply end, as you wanted more and yet somehow knew you could never get more. Maybe that's why the ending so brilliant though. :/

i think ff9 had the best ending because it was the longest and i think was the most touching....also i liked the music in the background :D

It was a tie between 7 and 10. But i voted for 7 cause it was very beautiful ending of the Lifestream. :D 10 just had a cool ending which I liked quite well. :cool:

Final Fantasy 9. Best ending I've ever seen for any game I've ever played. Sure it's long, but it's one of the only games where I actually felt satisfied. It makes it feel like it's worth all the time spent getting to it.

I've played FF9 many, many times. And the ending has just as much impact on me now as it did back then. :)

yeah i agree with you Kurohime...9 was the only one i really felt satasified with...plus awww....it was so touching. 7 was a close 2nd becasue of the whole aeris in the lifestream....what's up with that?...

Anyway! I thought the X-2 ending was cool. We didn't get the perfect ending but we got the great one which was good enough for me! (If you know what I mean.) :love:

10, 10, 10, 10 10 10 10 10! FF10 has the best ending for any game I've ever completed. I was 17 at the time and I cried and cried about it, and no game as ever made me cry in all my 15 years of being a gamer.

And FFIX is the one and only FF ending I actually wasn't anything but dissapointed with and I got so pissed at it...it was just a letdown of an ending...really. :mad2:
