Why has there been a Cid since 2 andhy do most of them all have air ships (Exept 6and 8)

Tradition. Once they got a few games with Cid in them, it'd piss people off if he stopped showing up. Same with Biggs and Wedge.

Cid doesn't have an airship in FFT or FFTA :p And in 8, he has Garden, which itself becomes an airship later in the game :p

Another reoccuring question...

I heard Cid was a guy who helped Square out back in the early days... Like almost saved them or something. And in return they promised him a small role in every FF game from there on out. Why the airships... I don't know.

Just one of the many things that come up in most FF games.

I think it gives a feeling of continuity to a series that always brings up new plotlines. Except with 10-2.

There are many things that are reoccuring throughout the series, and I like it.
