easiest/hardest ff game

what ff game do you think is the hardest, and which is the easiest?

I've only played 6 - 10 but I found 8 the hardest and 9 the easiest.

I'm with you Ultima_Paladin... FF1 is devastatingly hard, and FF10 is craptardian easy.

I think FF2's the hardest, mainly because I didn't know how to pace myself. When I'd bust my butt trying to get enough money for weapons in one town, there'd be weapons in the next town that I was probably expected to have at that point that were about twice as good.

The main part of FFX is the easiest, because any roadblocks can be overcome just by being cheap. If you want to do the extra stuff, that's quite a bit harder. The enemies in the Monster Arena are hard, so you have to make it even harder on yourself by doing tedious stuff until you can beat them.

FF6: It's a great game... Too bad it was easy.

FF1: I never thought that "poison" could be such a pain...
FF8: It was pretty hard to keep myself awake while playing this crap.

Uhm, 6 or 9 were probably the easiest for me. And they are also my favorites, oh well.

4 hard type is a pain in my ass. :\

Well, I presume this isn't supposed to be with SideQuests and the like, accounted for. Just the main story. And on that part, FF1 was the hardest, and FF10 was the easiest.

I've only played bits and pieces of the games, i would say 10 is the easiest and 8 is the hardest .:greenie:

I've played through 4,6,7 & 9. Out of those, I thought FF6 was the easiest (and it's also my fav, so I'm correcting the problem), and FF4 was the hardest. I'm willing to bet that out of all FFs, FF1 is the hardest. Back then most games were really hard to beat.

FF8 (really easy to make your guys invincible)
FF7 (easy as well)
FF6 (this one's also easy)
FFX (if you do all the side quests, it's pretty easy)
FF9 (pretty easy, but has a few hard parts)
FF3j (a lot harder than the ones I mentioned above, but not impossible if you level up enough)
FF2 (it can be hard at times, but you can beat it without cheating)
FF1 (it can be very hard with a bad team; some parts are still challenging even with a good team)
FF5 (pretty tough, but fun)
FF4 Hard Type (the hardest for me, some dungeons are really hard, especially the last one)

I find it weird how FFs ever since VI have been a lot easier than the Final Fantasy titles on NES and SNES.

I didn't find any of them hard, but I had some troubles in certain sections of each game. The easiest, conversely, has got to be Final Fantasy Tactics, minimally because of the technique of gaming. I cannot reminisce how many times I have finished that game, but I do know, that I cannot possibly attain any more.

No, FF4 Hard Type isn't a fan project. It's the official, original and IMHO, real Final Fantasy IV. However, when Square was supposed to do a US release of FF4, they vastly toned down its difficulty, censored loads of stuff and removed lots of abilities and items, and they made what is called FF4 Easy Type, and FF4ET was released for the US audience (titled "FF2"). The original FF4 "Hard Type" was only available for Japanese gamers until Square finally released FF4 HT for PS platforms with a retranslated script. FF4 HT for PSX was released in the USA in 2001 (in Final Fantasy Chronicles) and in Europe in 2002 (in Final Fantasy Anthology).

Hardest: Final Fantasy V. I still have only defeated Neo Exdeath once, and I defeated by constantly saving my game state while fighting him. In other words, I have never finished FFV without cheating. FFV was the only game where I consistently died on the bosses.

Easiest: Final Fantasy VI. I rarely die in this game. The only time it ever happens is when I'm levelling up in the dinosaur forest and when I fight the Storm Dragon. I'm looking forward to this "expert version" that io90east is making.

Easiest FF8-because of junctioning characters can become really stron really quick. The only opppnent who has beaten me is Omega Weapon.

Hardest FF2-all the bosses were so hard and I haven't even tried noraml mode.

FF1 was quite easy, FF9 and 10 were easy at the start, then got hard near the end. 4,5,6 and 7 had there easy and hard moments.
