...are ugly in my opinion. They should be changed. To what? I don't know. You can never go wrong with a chocobo, I guess. Anyways, discuss peons. :choc:

Yay!

Wow, that's excellent.

Edit: However, if you want to stick to a more vB default look, you could always use the normal Chocobo smilie as the online indicator, and a purple Chocobo smilie as the offline indicator.

Looks neat to me. Too bad I dunno how to change it. ^_^

Let's see if crono knows. ;D

I approve of this. *nod*

I prefer the old ones, but I dont really care, its not like I use that feature often.

crono_logical
10-15-2003, 02:59 AM
I'll do it when I have time, I'm sure I can work it out, it's 3am now and I need to get up at 7am for lectures at 9am all morning :p

I'm gonna use the yellow/purple chocobos, since that's similar to the current icons, the blue would pale against the background too much for the online one :p

EDIT: OK, that was a 2 minute job, didn't think it'd be like that :p

Dr Unne
10-15-2003, 03:21 AM
I think it needs moved up 5-10 pixels. It's weird-looking the way it is.

crono_logical
10-15-2003, 03:25 AM
I'm not quite sure why that's happenning - the chocobo image is cropped as much as possible already. I guess I'll have to do some fiddling.

EDIT: Inconsistent align parameters across the images :\

Shlup
10-15-2003, 04:48 AM
So, uhm, someone wanna tell me where these images are used? I don't think I've noticed them. I don't use many board features. :p

Holy crap there's a thingy there! That's kind of a useful feature... *makes a note*

m4tt
10-15-2003, 05:07 AM
It's only been there since forever. :p

Looks nice.

Yamaneko
10-15-2003, 05:17 AM
Thanks guys. :) And yeah, it is useful.

Dr Unne
10-15-2003, 05:39 AM
Now it doesn't match the other icons. So change all of those into variously-colored chocobos too. *whipcrack* You only need one person to do it. I nominate Bleys.

Yamaneko
10-15-2003, 05:47 AM
Heh. I just thought having an image that advertises vBulletin even more was tacky. Aren't they happy with their $70 a year?

I think you'll find most things easier than you think, it's just a pain in the hoo-has to do everything three times over in the templates.

I nominate Bleys

I'm not nominatable anymore, chief.

m4tt

Sure you are!

How about we change all the icons into FF6 sprites?

Citizen Bleys

How about YOU change all OF the icons into FF6 sprites?

m4tt

How about YOU get your PANTIES out of a twist?

Let's get an EXP system and a Gil system while we are at it!

Citizen Bleys
10-15-2003, 03:42 PM
Manties, m4tt, manties (http://www.manties.com)

I'm all for an EXP system and a Gil system as long as somebody else has to run the bastard.

m4tt
10-15-2003, 03:53 PM
I wasn't being serious. :p

And I'm not going to look at manties while at work.

Hurrah for vB3 - I think they're making it so you can just update one template and all the styles get fixed. I think... I'll have to look into it more later on.

Aww, I wanted more a checkbox/radio button system so each user can choose each seperate part of the template individually, such as quick reply, the chocobo thing, edzxcvbnm's colour system and so on :p

Citizen Bleys
10-15-2003, 05:47 PM
Yeah, vB3's going to be great for you guys. I don't think I'll bother learning it, though xD

You can do that in vB2 as well, if you turn debug mode online by hacking the PHP. That's how Fool's Gold has so freaking many style sets, 'cause all my template modifications are made to the default ones.

The reason no one's done a sphere grid system at an MB yet is cause the original system is headache-inducing enough as it is kthxbye.

crono_logical
10-17-2003, 01:22 AM
I liked the sphere grid, it was unique, and wasn't all that hard to use :p

The Man
10-17-2003, 01:36 AM
It is unique, that much is certain, but the way Rikku describes it is headache-inducing. *brain explodes*
