Question about the end of the 3rd disc (spoilers)

hey, it has been as while since i have been to this point of the game, and i have a question. when Rinoa is junctioned to Adel, what exactly happens afterwards. they need Ellone to do something, but what happened to Adel's powers? this probably sounds like a stupid question, but i would appreciate having the answer ASAP. thank you.

Squall and the gang kill Adel which makes Ultimecia release her hold on Adel and then put onto Rinoa, then Ellone uses her powers of traveling back in time in conjunction with Ultimecia (from the future) putting controll of Rinoa in her hands and then Ellone using her powers causes Time Compression.
