Energy Crystals

Whats an easy way to get hold of Energy Crystals?

I know Behemoths carry them along with Ruby Dragons but the gits never seem to drop them after battle. I'm using the Rare Items ability and level up but it dosn't seem to be helping. The enemys always seem to drop something else or nothing at all.

I assume it's just a case of trying over and over until you get what you want. Just takes so damn long. :D

Whats annoying is I managed to get hold of the things the first time I played through the game but this time I just can't get any. I want to get all the characters final weapons on before I go to Ultimecias castle.

I need to get 7 of the things and can't even get one at the moment. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :grr:

Been a while, but if memory serves, go to the middle of Esthar and find a guy in a cloak. Talk to him and you'll fight an Elnoyle, they usually drop them. Leave the screen and return, repeat as necessary.

Another way, though kinda time-consuming, is to play lots of cards! I think about 6-7 Elnoyle (sp?) cards give you an energy crystal. The inn-keeper guy in Balamb has a lot of those, as does Zell's mother.

esthar plains holds many behemoths and they hold energy crystals. You need to be level 100 (in my opinion) to get them. Have Quistis on low health and use degenerator on every enemy that pops up. Eventually a Behemoth will pop up and you will get one usually. If not, this process takes about 1 hour, (not very much).
