It's from a rumor site which says that you actually fight in in a secret quest. The rumor is false of course. I don't have a link to the site, but you've posted a link to it in the past I believe.

The "Tiamat" sprite itself is actually Twinhead (http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/snes/bl/twinhead.shtml)'s Grand Dragon from Bahamut Lagoon.

I knew I had seen that sprite someplace before.

Ya, even though there is a spot in the coding for the monster, it was never included.

That was the Kaiser Dragon, who had a definite sprite, stats, and dialogue. Tiamat never existed in the code at all.

Either that's a nice photoshop job, or someone inserted that sprite into the game and took a screen shot. There's only one program that I know where you can do this, and it's hardly functional. Now why do people start rumors?

They only start rumors because there are stupid people (like me sometimes, but not this time) that care about it...
