Lots of people have done it, though I haven't. It's just letter-swapping, after all. :)

Watch and not double post Vivi. To translate it you have to get Al-bhed primers which are all over spira. Then basicly memories which letters and switched and make up a way to say them.

Also to know what the Al Behd's are saying at the beginning of the game, load some primers from another game at the primer loader thing at the ruins. Helps you to understand what they're saying.

The site was www.ffx2.net. It also has movies and music videos from the game, if you have a fast connection (Which i don't!!!!:mad2: )

What I'd love to know is how the Al Bhed language 'worked' in the Japanese version. Did they exchange individual syllables, with one character representing a different one like the English version, or was it somthing different? How did the Al Bhd primers function? There can't have been 2000 primers - one for each character.
Anyone know?

pixie_demons Al Bhed is backwards. you have to paste it in the english window, not the Al-Bhed.....

Big D. From what I know of japanese (I started lessons in october) They could of either translated the 46 (well 92 really but there just the same pronounciations with different characters) characters quite easily (hirigana & katakana) but If they were to be really into it they would have to do about 6000 odd kanji characters. So I have no Idea.

Wouldnt it be hard to actually speak to someone in Al Bhed? I mean, some words could easily be mistaken for others. Like how they all seem randomly arranged, it could be like sky-something, which would be pronounced skih, and there are other words that would sound the same but would be completely different. Too complicated, especially after trying to piece together all those fragmented sentences id only partly translated in the game. Besides, Id rather learn Japanese
