Aren't we all excited about it?
The album is supposedly going to consist of 13 tracks and its release date is set to 2003/12/03.

Some week old news but yah, I haven't really seen anyone talk about this, so here we are.

Also, I'm sorry but I've got no links to offer, cuz I suppose you twerps don't know japanese, right? I'm sure there's some english site out there offering the samme information I've got.

Ooh, finally a piano collection for FF7? Took their time for this game :p

And I don't mind links to Japanese sites :p

Ohhh, cool. I hadn't heard about that. Sounds like it'll be nice. I wonder why they took so long to do this?

Looks great.:)

I already have a piano recording of Aeris' theme; if it's anything to go by, then we're in for a real treat.

Except, of course, that there's not a chance in hell of ever getting it in my country - except by hideously expensive credit-card order over the net.

except by hideously expensive credit-card order over the net.

We share a common problem, but one with an easy solution (http://www.gamemusic.com).

The prices at that site are bad enough...
More than twenty US dollars for a single CD, plus postage - that's WAY more than I'd be prepared to pay. Mainstream CDs cost half as much in my country.
Pity none of the shops here stock game music at all...

Neither do American shops, except a FEW specialty comic book type stores.

Needs "Interrupted by Fireworks."

I think a piano version of that particular tune has already been done, 'Kishi.

OCRemix rings a bell, but I'm not sure whether or not it's there.

Right, interrupted by fireworks would have been great :) Anyway probably better than the fighting theme adaptation, which will probably be quite a waste.

The fighting theme pianoed is rather good actually, I prefer it to a few of the other tracks :p

Really ?

I had quite a bad feeling about it. And I'm quite sceptical as regards the OWA adaptation too... how is it ?

I get this tomorrow hopefully!!

I'm really looking forward to hearing it because people haven't really had anything bad to say about it and that can only be a good thing, right? ^_^

It's okay. I'm not really surprised I had such a lukewarm reception to it, since I thought VII's music overall was a big step down from VI's. It seems the only essential piano albums are still (IMO) IV's and VI's. IX's is quite good too, though.

I think FF7 Piano Collections is my favorite FF piano collection ever, surpassing even FF6's. All tracks are very well chosen and stay true to the originals while still have their own well done arrangements. Great stuff. Hard to pick out any favorites because they're all good. I think J-E-N-O-V-A, Aerith's Theme and One-Winged Angel are my favorite arrangements.
