A pimp is not a male prostitute, that is a giggilo. A pimp is someone who sort of 'runs' the hookers, and usually takes a large cut of their money. He hooks them up with people to have sex with. And besides, him being a pimp is a joke, because he's with three beautiful girls. These days, pimp is basic slang for someone who's popular with the ladies.
