Actualy kindom hearts and ratchet and clank did not sell very well on the first couple of months then sold alot when people heard they were great from word of mouth. well at least in the uk.

And if I am not mistaken that is the meaning of a sleeper title. not:

The reason I nominated that game for 'Best Sleeper Hit' is because none of my avid game friends had never played it, I had never seen any advertising, or anything else promoting it, and since it's one great RPG I consider it a sleeper hit.

(And please don't go PMS'ing over what other people think are sleeper hits...If Joel didn't think it would apply to that category he wouldn't have posted them there.)

I like state of emergency damn it. If I were to impose my taste in games you would here me saying that is a great game and that everyone should play it(don't...state of emergency is a horribly flawed game and really isn't all that good).

I am just making a big deal out of it because I said this would happen in the previous thread. I am making the point it did happen.

And for the Skies of Arcadia game...it sold a fairly good amount for an RPG in the states(I think it broke 300,000...most likely I am greatly mistaken though) and it got stellar reviews on top of that. It had a good amount of advertising also(no commericals but loads of ads and press releases).
