ff7 starting problem

i got a problem!!!
if i want to start final fantasy 7 the screen turn into black and short after this iam right again on the desctop
if anybody helps me, i would be very happy

i don't really know much about that...a couple of times ago when i started FF7 the screen turns black and the comp just suddenly freezes...what a pain in the ass! it happened about 4 times in a row but after that it worked perfectly fine...?

I believe there is a patch just for nvidia graphics cards you need to play it.
