what is the point of making a save the queen? (possible spoilers)

i mean, no one can use it except beatrix... and she doesnt stay in the party. why would anyone acttually make it?

I think Steiner can equip it, I think I remember seeing it under a list of all his weapons he can equip.

If anything it's just neat to get to have Amarant throw, do 1 damage, then die. Pointless, but greatness anyways.:D

doesnt having it in your inventory (by having hades synth one) change the story's ending?

i had hades synth one.. i figured "why the hell not??" plus i had read somewhere that having it would give an alternate ending (kinda like having cinna's hammer)

im thinking of going back in my save (im on the final platform) and getting rid of save the queen and cinna's hammer to see if the ending does indeed change.

No, Save the Queen has no effect on the ending at all. My man Salamander can throw it, and any respectable shopkeeper will be willing to buy it, but that's all.

It does change the ending!!!!! I don't know what ending cinna's hammer has but I know what happens with Save-the-Queen!

It's for collection purposes, though I don't think it's possible to get every single item since you need to forge the hammer to get a couple things.

I've played a couple times and do not remember it making a difference but it's like leveling up to 100 with your chocobo, it serves no real purpose other than just doing it.
