View Full Version : Java Chat
When I go to Java Chat, I accept the download from jpilot for the chat, then the applet fails loading and I get a red X in the left had corner of the applet. Any idea what's up?

No, chat is up.
Getting that red X is nothing to do with whether the chat server is working or not, it's because of something wrong on your PC. Maybe try updating your Java runtimes from http://java.sun.com instead of using the default dodgy Microsft one :p
I personally dislike Java in browsers completely and prefer to keep it disabled :p

I've updated Java before, using both Firebird and IE, and it hasn't worked for me for at least a year (probably more like two).
Yeah, I think the java client just stopped working. I'll get the new java and give it a shot though... even though I have a pretty new version.

Agreed, except mIRC is a crap client. X-Chat is much better.
