Question about Origins

is ff 2 on origins the same release as the SNES or is it the japanese version that wasn't released over here? just curious because on the back it says never released in north america, but i know the #'s were switched around and all and i really don't wanna confuse the games. now the ff2 on origins if it was the japanese version what # was it in japan? 4? thanks!

It's the one that was never released in Japan, the original FFII for NES. It was II in Japan.

ok your post was alittle confusing. it was never released in japan, but it was 2 in japan? honestlt not being a wise a$$ just am not very clear on what your saying.

i thought the only ff released on nes in the US was ff1, and ff2 was on snes.

isn't ff2 for snes # 4 in japan??

Yeah, you have the right idea. The FFII in Origins is the real one, the one originally unreleased in America. And for the record, yes, "FFII" for the SNES is actually FFIV.

That was a typo on my part. It's the one that was never released in America, is what I meant.
