Basketball rocks my socks.

Baseball is getting worse every year :( I used to love it.

I picked curling cuz no one else probably will...

poor poor curling, only old people like you and soon they will be dead.

eestlinc

Poor Dakotan folk.

And I should hope the answer is obvious.

Unfair poll though because most sports fans arent true sports fans and only watch like 2 sports. as I watch most all sports, but curling and lawn darts and syncronized swimming (hell i even watch cards and pool on ESPN), I will cast seperate votes here.

Best AMERICAN sports for me to watch are Baseball and Football. I enjoy others but those are a close tie

Best overall sport I voted Rugby. Anyone who has ever watched and understood this game can respect the uncanny skill, the relentless struggle, the constant physical battle, and some of the menest toughest SOB's to walk the earth. The gladiators of today.

close second for overall is professional boxing. your a MADMAN for forgetting this. Ultimate Fighting championship is bada$$ too, but its not on enough.

And you forgot pool, and martial arts as well, what kind of poll is this!!

i didn't even try to be inclusive, although i'm not so sure beating the crap out of someone else is a sport. everything other than what is specifically listed is included under "lawn darts and crap". Just be happy I included rugby. :D

He didn't forget about them, they're at the bottom.

hmm, fair enough...but simply beating the crap out of somebody would have been a good option :D

You get great merchandising and spin-off stuff, like Shaq-Fu and Magic Johnson's talk show! :D

Plus, if it wasn't for basketball, we wouldn't have great jokes like "How did Ronald get Aids? Do you believe in Magic?"

You're missing the second most popular team sport on the planet: cricket. And Rugby is separated into two very different codes codes: league and union. Ack, I can't pick my favourite sport. Toss-up between union, cricket and aussie football.

:mad2:

The list is flawed. *votes curling*

Since we're allowed to vote only once...I had to go with Golf because it's something that I like to play as well as watch. Hockey would be number two because I don't play it. Everything else can pretty much go fly a kite.

You guys are jerks. And you forgot Man-hunt, the best sport ever.

Wait..that was the concept of a movie!

I like golf....it's the only sport on the list I actually like. Skateboarding's not a sport.

Dingo Jellybean

The best to watch is the NFL right now...best to play is clearly basketball since you don't need all this unnecessary equipment and such and you can play the game alone. Not only that, there's so much innovation to it. TDs and HRs all look the same...but tomahawks and windmills are much harder to pull off.

My favorite sport to watch on TV is american football (Go Lions) and my favorite sport to play is basketball.

Stayin Dizzy
01-27-2004, 11:41 PM
Cheers to that, as I'm a Lions fan by Birthright...but ever since Barry left they have been goin down hill (!st round draft pics though YEAY!!). If they keep playing poorly they'll get like 5 years of 1st rounders and have a pretty respectable team. All they'd need then is a coach.

And cricket should have been on there yes. But since it wasn't rugby was an easier choice

I'm a speed skater mainly + figure skater for fun, but that's not there so I voted for my second favourite sport, volleyball. I haven't played in ages though.

If we were allowed two votes, I would have voted rugby too. I prefer to watch league but play union.

If we were allowed three votes, I would have gone basketball too.

Seriously, Formula One is great fun to watch, as well as cricket. But our own home-grown sport, Aussie rules football is great fun too.

Yeah, I managed to see a game from the old Members' Stand at the MCG before it was torn down (my uncle's a member). And Hawthorn won, too. Pity they just missed out on the finals.

Football/Soccer is deffinatly the biggest and best sport in the world. Just american people dont know it, its quite frustrating. The world cup is the second biggest compition in the world behind the olympics, but still americans are idle in the majority.... pfft

And in Sphera, or what ever the planet was called in FFX, the biggest and best sport in the world was blitzball. But that sport sucks also so......whats your point? Don't you know that the majority of people are stupid anyways.

Man...that explains why so many people like soccer...they are stupid :D

Kirobaito

Blitzball is fun to play in real life. Me and my friends came up with an alternative, where we play in a pool.

The only sport that I can stand to associate myself with is true wrestling. Granted, I'm not that big into sports, and I needed some athletics to become a well-rounded student, so I went into wrestling. Now that sport takes bawls. It has to be the most demanding sport in the world, no joking. It's also the oldest sport in the world. However it has changed since the ancient Greek and Roman times, mainly now wrestlers wear clothes. Ewwww.

"Other athletes play with them, wrestlers have them"
Ahem, basektBALL, footBALL, baseBALL.

I have balls. I play Football. I get hit and my gloves are orange for the of the game when they were grey. I had 3 minor cuncossions last season. This was the first year I have't missed playoffs due to a broken bone or too many cuncussions.
