Do I need to elaborate? Um..are our post counts reset to 0 ever since the move, or do I still have my ~3000 or maybe ~2500 posts?

Your post count was 0 to begin with, so far as I know. Everyone's was reset long ago.

It was visually reset, but the board keeps track of your posts regardless of how many times Guu or whomever runs some script purging us of our well-earned spam score.

I just want to know if that secret board database of postage is reset or not.

If any admin decides to update/updated the counters, then yes, it's reset to as low as can be.

Is it really necessary to have your post count recorded anyway?

YES

I updated the counters before the board was opened again, but also before threads were pruned - I guess I could update them again sometime so they go lower, but I'm too lazy to do that as there's not really much point right now :p

I don't understand why this matters.
