Alright, so I was trying to use Sound Recorder to make a little file for the new voice thread in GC, right? Unfortunately, I get the following message:

"Another application is recording audio. Stop recording with this other application and then try to record with the Sound Recorder again."

What the hell? I don't know what it could possibly be.

Running Winamp / music players? Watching a video? Playing a game?

Yeah, I'm running Winamp, but the thing is that I'd never had a problem running Winamp and trying to record at the same time. This is the first time I'd ever seen that error message.

And no, on the other two counts.

Answer to 10% of Windows Problems:

Upgrade from Windows ME now.

Seriously though, use task manager and close anything that looks like a sound program, it usually works but is not guarrantted. The only other option is in sound properties (multimedia in older version of windows), make sure that the device is not set to Use Preferred Devices only as this sometimes locks up the card if you play some sound.

Only a suggestion though...
