Money makers (Gil, of course)

I just found out a way to get unlimited Gil in FFVIII and thought I'd share.
When you go to Edea's house in Disk three and you start your search for the white SeeD ship, Edea will give you a letter that she writes as proof for the SeeDs. Before you go on the SeeD ship you can take the letter to any store (there is someone inside the training center of Balamb Garden who sells items so you can just go see him). The letter is worth 125 gil if you sell it. Then go back to Edea's house and talk to her. She will scold you for losing the letter and give you another one which you can sell again and repeat this process over and over. It's slow, but it pays off if you have the patience.

When you begin the game, head to the library. Walk to the first bookshelf you come to and 'borrow' the Occult Fan Number I. Sell it for 17,500 Gil.

Very cool. Also, you can sell Weapons Monthly First Issue for 25,000 Gil. And Girl Next Door for 30,000. (sell it to Zone) Magazines sell very high in this game.

After you get Tonberry, you learn Haggle, Sell High and Med Lv Up Ref from Alexander. Buy 100 Tents and use Med Lev Up Ref to make a bunch of items that you can sell for a profit.

Or you could jes do that Dollet mission and get seeD money, you get quite alot if you keep doing the test evytime you level up you can get up to 30000 gil how cool is that?

try and up your seed rank by doing the tests.you'll get a pretty high amount of gil.

think the best way to win money is with a good seed rank, they'll pay you about 30000 more or less. Look to the answers of the exam.

The tests are easy to pass if you know a lot about the game, but I cheated and got the answers from Final Fantasy 8 Kingdom;) The highest SeeD rank is the A level and that gives you 30000 gil. Just a tip, the more you walk around, the more gil you get. You can go to any of the chocobo forests and get a chocobo there, then run around on the world map screen. You won't run into any monsteres and you'll get paid about every two or three minutes.

Minor problem with that is if you don't fight regularaly you lose seed rank levels.

Fighting monsters is a good way of making money, especially on the Islands of Heaven and Hell.

i always thought it was funny when id get paid while i was playing Triple Triad, especially if i was supposed to go somewhere... and on occasion my seed rank would go up even though im the ultimate slacker in seed duties :p

Oh, you can gain two SeeD rank levels by saying that you're with gardenmaster NORG when everyone is running around all crazy-like looking for the headmaster. And make sure once you get to the highset SeeD level you don't take the last few tests so if your rank goes down you can take those tests and make it go up.

There are loads of ways of making money, but I personally love making money by jes doing the seeD tests.:D :mog: :choc:

Ok heres something I figured out after 500 hours plus game play... Long I know The ranking and therefore money is based on Squall alone therefore if you get to A rank and keep fighting the Elnoyle on disc 3 Esthar past the lunar cry you get to lvl 100 keep fighting not only will your party members level up but if you have gone down in rank get to 40k kills with Squall and you'll be rank A for the rest off the game no matter what you do and 100 hours of my file is triple triad

use tonberry's call-shop to buy 100 tents and 100 cottages from "Esthar Shop!!!!" then refine those into mega-potions. sell the mega-potions for a huge profit and you'll make millions of gil within minutes. you'll make more profit with sell-high and haggle. i never take SeeD tests, i gain SeeD lvls on my own
