Ronso Fight

I'm fighting the tow Ronsos with Khimari, but I notice their HP has some relationship with Khimari's. Is this so? And..err...is there an easy way to defeat them?

You're right in thinking that there is a relationship between the HP of Biran and Yenke and Kimahri's, because there is. Biran and Yenke's HP is dependant on Kimahri's Strength and Magic, ie. the higher Kimahri's strength and magic, the more HP they have. Similarly, Biran and Yenke's Strength and Magic depend on Kimahri's HP. Biran's Str is twice Yenke's, but Yenke's Mag is twice Biran's. Their Agility can also change; Biran's is Kimahri's Agi -4, and Yenke's is -6.

The best way to defeat them is to first prepare yourself. From the weapons shop at the base of Mt. Gagzet you can purchase weapons and armour that have 3 free slots, and into these you should place Str + 20%, 10% and 5% to make a Knight's Lance, and into the armour you should put HP + 20%, 10% and 5% to make the Knight's Armlet. Make sure Kimahri has learnt Steal or Mug, as you can obtain Lv. 3 Key Spheres from both of them. Dispel will also come in handy, as will some White Magic. When the two are standing next to each other, focus on curing yourself and casting Protect and Shell. You should attack physically when they are on their own, as this way the cannot protect each other.

You can learn various Ronso Rages from these two. From Biran you can learn Thrust Kick, Self-Destruct, Doom, and Mighty Guard. From Yenke you can learn Fire Breath, Aqua Breath, Stone Breath and White Wind. You will have to wait untill you have depleted half their HP before you can learn Mighty Guard and White Wind.

There is no real challenge in this battle as long as you maintain a good amount of HP, use lots of Hi-Potions, and keep Protect and Shell active.
