That's gotta be when you take the Orthopaedic underwear from Tifa's closet, and I'm guessing that "he" is Sephiroth and the lost "ark" is the reactor and I'm guessing "meeting him" means after he goes A.W.O.L so I would guess that it's when you go down to the basement in Cloud's past but I can't seem to get it to fit with the rest of the riddle....

The fact that there are nine lines would make me think of another character per line clue, but I can't seem to find that either.

BUSTER SWORD! (that's my guess). You cant get rid of it, it's pretty powerful when you first use it, then becomes weaker as you go along. When i first saw "blueish", i thought Ultima Weapon...which, i just realized, could ALSO be the answer! Not weak (when you have full health, it does maximum damage), and not strong (when your health goes down, it becomes weaker). As for the getting rid of part, it's cuz it's such a great weapon to have.

There was a Mako reactor nearby, and a natural spring of Mako from the flash back where it later condenses into materia. Plus it absorbed fire damage. And the acrostic spells nibel- a hint at the location?
