final heaven

ok lesse. it's disc 2, i have tifa in my party, and when i went to nibelheim i punched (for the piano):

X square triangle L1+triangle L1+square X square triangle L1+X X square X

i can't seem to get final heaven. is that tune wrong, or is this something where it's a chance thing, and i have to keep trying? all i've found is tifa's secret savings.

I don't know the button combination, but it goes like this.

The problem you have is you've got the wrong input. You're almost correct, but there's one mistake. The correct input is;

X Square Triangle L1+Triangle L1+Square X Square Triangle L1+X Circle X Square X

That should sovle your problem with getting Final Heaven.

i also thought you got a letter,then you go back to midgar to get the final heaven...maybe thats something diffrent

You do indeed get a letter from Zangan, Tifa's tutor, along with Final Heaven. The item you get if you return to Midgar is Tifa's Premium Heart, her ultimate weapon. You need to find the Key to Midgar in Bone Village (look for normal treasure and dig where you found the Lunar Harp) then go to Wall Market and look in the Item hut (the one with the gatling gun on the ceiling) to find it. Aside from the main subject, but still related, the power of Premuim Heart has nothing to do with how many times you've got 'MISS' on Tifa's limit slots, but is affected by her limit gauge. The closer she is to having a limit break the more powerful her weapon. Just thought I'd clear that up with everyone, because I'm sick with people saying it's related to the number of 'MISS' you've got.

You have to keep doing it over and over again. It's chance as far as I can tell.

You've got to do it on Disc 3.

Yes, it has to be AFTER everything's mostly said and done. Wait until you have access to the Northern Crater, then go back. You cant get it the first time you go through Nibelheim.

u also need to have tifa's level 3 limit breaks learned too

is that so? well, tifa NEEDS to be in your party. and cloud should be saying "I remember taht tune. I played it very well." (obviously, it was his theme, also heard on the world map in disc 1).

Is a sort of recap to when you played it in the Nibelheim flashback (Kalm, Disc 1). You actually get to read the sheet music there IIRC.
Also having the combination isn't enough, you've got to play it pretty well- if you leave a big gap between two notes you don't seem to get it...

The FF7 section on the EyesonFF site says 'press start' afterwards, I never had to do this (I have the PAL version) but maybe it applies in other versions?

yeah you have to press start afterwards, i think, b/c it says "press start to end"
