How am I supposed to prevent WinXP from telling me how many new e-mails I have when I boot up the computer.

Close your MSN messenger or leave Outlook turned off.

If you have MSN Messengerto log on each time you boot up the computer... You may need to uncheck the alerts in Options>Preferences.

In TweakUI for WinXP, you can change how it does that under Logon > Unread Mail :p
