Right now I think I have a sore throat. I was just wondering does anyone know how to get rid of them fast? Also when was the last time you were sick? If you still are what ya got?

I had a viral infection in my throat last weekend. Zithromax is the best thing to take; it really clears things up. Also, take lots of Vitamin C. That really helps. If you want to make it feel better, ask the doctor if he can write a prescription for the following:

Lidocaine, Benadryl, Maalox mixture in a 1:1:1 ratio. Gargle it for 30+ seconds. It makes everything feel a lot better.

You had a sore throat and it hurt when you peed?

The infection wasn't in my throat, but it was an infection trust me.

And I used creams to help with the spots and pus filled sores.

Shouldn't be too different for your throat. I've never had a throat infection.

Why would you think that an infection that would make it hurt when you pee is similar to a throat infection?

Oh well...**dies**

They're both infections, and probably both viral, so brothers. Well, mine might be fungal but hell
whho cares.
And throat infections can give you pusy lungs, no?

I had bronchitus last week. It sucked. I had a wicked cough + phlegm, and a sore throat. I took these pink pills the doctor gave me, and lots of cough drops. Now it's gone! :D

I had a pretty bad sore throat. I couldn't go to the doctor because I didn't have a health card (it expired). So....I pretty much let it vir..ate my body all up. I eventually started whining and crying about it. Sad. Anyway, I ultimately got some chicken noodle soup. It worked well as a soother. I also had popsicles and other fun stuff. :)

I think in the five days I was sick I had 10 milkshakes. Yum.

Last thing I had was this really bad migraine that I had all morning and until now. Worst part of it is, I had a quiz bowl tourney today, and I sucked because I couldn't think. I kept going in and out of focus. It sucked.

Lemsip capsules and granules work great for me, although I'm not sure whether or not you can get them in your country. Just sit tight for a few days - you'll start to feel better in no time. A nice, hot bath always helps me to feel a little less...congested when I have a cold and a bad throat.

Sore throats are easy to deal with... simply wait until it goes away on it's own. Infections are easily treated with antibiotics, and tonsils are removeable for a reason ;)

I don't tend to get sick much... a slight cold maybe, but never a full-on invasion, just single-celled skirmishing.

I'm not sure if this works when you are already sick, but when I get that feeling like: 'I'm gonna be sick soon...' after I run around in the rain or something like that, I usually bake an orange and eat it with some salt. That usually cures just about any kind of common cold symptoms. It works very early on in the cycle, so maybe the first day you feel sick you should try it. Other than that, gargling warm salt water after you wake up and before you go to sleep helps too.

I thought gargling salt water was for those stingy little mountains of exposed flesh you get inside your mouth? Um, mouth ulcers or something.

How the hell do you bake an orange? And you eat it with salt? I think I'm starting to feel sick now.

I had a viral infection in my lymphnodes. Felt like a constant appendicitis and bought the weekend in the hospital. They put me in the children's ward but that was ok cause my room had a gamecube!!!

Anyhoo...gargling salt water...my grandma use to make me do that but I doubt it actually helps.

my grandfather has an interesting treatment for sore throats. you take a teaspoon of tequila, and let it trickle down your throat slowly. made sense, though, when he explained it. he said it's the same as washing out a cut with alcohol.

me, I use lotsa vitamins and OJ. Oj=good.

Let enough Tequila trickle down your throat and there's very few things you can't cure...
