View Full Version : Tifa scene at end of Disc II (spoilers)
So, at the end of Disc II, with the scene with Tifa - is it any different if you date her at the Gold Saucer in Disc I? I just played it through and dated her at the Gold Saucer - and the conversation seemed a bit more extended this time around. It could be memory issues, or it could be me. Anyways, I certainly liked the emotional depth of the scene. Anybody else know?

Its a comination of everything. Every action you take in the game results in 'affection points'. For example, giving Tifa the flower bags you points for Tifa. The more points you have, the more that happens in that scene.

I've always got all the dialogue with Tifa at the end of Disc 2 even though I haven't always been so friendly to Tifa or been with her on a date. The "love points" only affect who Cloud will date in Gold Saucer on Disc 1, but nothing after that AFAIK.

Yeah - I thought the points stopped adding up after the Gold Saucer date...

No, the points affect the nature of the conversation with Tifa. You'll always have the conversation with her, but your points effect what she does. If you've been super nice to her, she'll kiss Cloud.

I think she also makes a bigger deal of it when the rest of the party mentions what they saw, if your "points" are high enough.

So you're saying points do not affect what she says, but what she does (i.e. kissy kissy)?
The sexual/emotional tension in the game is so well-played...

It effects the conversation as well. I'm pretty sure that it goes on longer if you have higher points.

Interesting, I didn't think the "love points" made any difference to the game other than who dates you at the gold saucer?
In my experience Cloud and Tifa get very close through just the dialogue, then it always seems pretty obvious what they're up to when the screen goes blank. (Especially afterwards when she says "you were watching???" hehe)

No, she doesn't kiss Cloud even if you have 255+ love points! I don't know where you got that idea, but it's a rumor that isn't true, so I won't buy it. Unless you can provide me with a genuine screenshot from the game. Really, if it was possible to make Cloud and Tifa kiss and whatever, the fans wouldn't be debating so much about whether Cloud ends up with Tifa or Aeris.

Yeah, I was pretty damn sure I didn't remember any scene like that, and didn't think it had much effect except for a date. :/

The scene is extremely subtle. Or maybe I just have a dirty mind. Either way no proof can ever be made, as it's only speculation... the screen goes black after all :)

i think the whole 'points system' is a realy cool idea, an i only wish there was more control over developing relationships with other characters, playable or not; in all FF games.
imagine if u cud get in there with Elena :)

what happens in the date with Yuffie? I've always tried to get that one, or the one with Barret, but I've never managed it.
besides. it's difficult for people to debate who Cloud ends up with at the end of the game. It's either Tifa or not Tifa. there's a very very very very obvious reason why this is.

so, mr. impersonator, you wanna know what happens in the date with Yuffie? ok....
on the Gondola ride, after the ride almost finishes, Yuffie leans over and KISSES CLOUD. Then that cinemic with the entire Golden Saucer will start and the "conversation" will start, something like this:
Yuffie: Cloud, say something.
Cloud: ......
Yuffie: C'mon, please, say something!
Cloud: .....
Yuffie: C'mon! Say something PLEASE!!!!
Cloud: ............something.
Yuffie: *slaps Cloud*
actually you don't see Yuffie slapping him. You can hear the sound though :D

need i mention the Bumble Bee Inn or whatever it is called? yeah... there is a long blackout scene with a guy on top of you... who knows what happened there to replenish your HP/MP at the same time.
The date with Barret is the best.
Even though it isn't a date as such, more a man to man talk, thinking about the comparison between the other dates is enough to bring a grin to my face.

we all know that even though it was never shown, cloud and tifa made love that night. thats why the nxt day she asks with horror "you were watching?" and falls to her knees and hits the ship lol.

Cait Sith: you are perfect for each other! Aeris's star and cloud's star!

I think that at the end of the game cloud hooks up with areis,even thoug tifa really loves him:love:.
