Why do I have hair there!?

Don't you just hate neck hair? I do, it fells like everytime I look down, I'm pricking my neck. They don't even grow! They stay small and prickly and yet at the same time they are too small to cut off. We don't even need them, like I said, they are even too small to see.

I was gonna say that Enoki! YEah I have hair on the back of my neck but not really on my throat area. My facial hair grows like the true red neck hick I am. Just like Joe Dirt :)

Like much of the hair on our bodies, neck hair is used as insulation against cold. Evolution dictates that our invention of clothes and threat of global warming will warrant our neck hair useless, and will soon be no longer an issue. However, this will take several millenia.

The other use for hair in humans is for reproductive purposes. The hair on armpits and.. "boing boing wink wink meow" is designed to 'harvest' the bacteria that feed on the.. products that those places create. The bacteria release odors that attract potential mates.
