Could someone please explain what I'm suposed to to in the final battle against Sephirot, when he is this big thingy with many parts and yellow core or something. I try attacking him, and sure enough, parts of him dies. But then they get revived! And what about that yellow thingy, how do I harm it?

I believe in order to defeat him you need to kill many parts of him, then when you have the option of switching parties you have to kill him some more. I believe over all to win all parts must be kileld by all the parties. And the core only becomes vunerable, I think, when you defeat all te parts.

I could be wrong though.

You necessarily don't need to switch parties. All you really need to do is use one Bahamut ZERO, and all the parts except for the main body will be destroyed, and just wail on away on his body until he's dead.

If his head revives, attack it, and it should be gone again in 1 or 2 hits.

Never EVER switch parties in that battle. If you switch to the right party, the parts on the left will get revived, and when you get back to the left party, the parts on the right will be revived, and so forth. The battle gets way too long and confusing. Just use one party to hack and slash Sephiroth until he falls. One Knights of the Round will kill him, but you probably won't even need summons. I usually just destroy his weaker body parts (head, hands etc), then whack his body until it gets destroyed, and then you can usually attack the core and destroy it.

Hmm, I guess that's the problem. I can't seem to kill the body, 'cause Sepphy uses Bizarro Force all the time! Should I train some more, or is there some way to stop the Bizarro Force?

You mean Bizarro Energy? Don't worry about it. It won't heal much, and it usually just revives the head, which can be killed with 1-2 blows anyway. So just kill the head again. As long as your level is 60+, Sephiroth will be an easy foe.

Then the final battle is a given. You start with a full limit gague, have Omnislash, and get first attack. Even if you don't attack first, Sephiroth will strike, then Cloud will counter (regardless of any materia) and Sephiroth will fall.

I guess I need to level up some more, I can't seem to do enough damage to counter the healing done by the bizarro energy. I mean, one blast of ultima ain't enough, right? I got a level 60-something Cloud with the Ultimate Weapon, should he attack or cast ultima?

Yea, if you level up, don't level up too much since Safer Sephiroh's level is determined by Cloud's. So if Cloud is level 99 with 9999 HP, Safer Sephiroth will be 99 and have about 1,000,000 HP. I had to use KOTR and Omnislah multiple times to beat him at level 99.

I don't think he's that hard on level 99. Ruby Weapon has 799,999 HP and Emerald Weapon has 999,999 HP, and Sephiroth is a lot faster to beat than them. When Cloud was on level 94 with 9999 HP, one Knights of the Round was enough to defeat Safer Sephiroth, and the maximum one KotR can do is 129,987 HP (13*9999), so Safer Sephiroth probably had about 100,000 HP. When Cloud was on level 99 with 9999 HP, I needed two KotR's to kill him, so I'd estimate he had around 150,000-250,000 HP.

Can you give me some numbers about how much damage you do with a hit? If it's about 1000 damage or less, then yeah, you should level up. If you do 5000+ damage with every hit, you'll be fine. Keep using your attacks, maybe Ultima and your strongest summons at times, and your limit breaks. Get Double Cut from the Sunken Plane Gelnika to do more damage with physical attacks. You can also equip a Counter Attack materia or two if you want. When you finally defeat Bizarro Sephiroth, you'll face Safer Sephiroth, who begins the battle by casting Wall on himself. This really lowers the damage you can do to him, but you can counter that by casting DeBarrier on him. You get DeBarrier from Destruct materia which Sephiroth gave you earlier in the game.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one. Just for fun, I put on the Ultimate Code with Gameshark (Invincibility and L1+L2+Square= full limit guage) and I had to do Omnislash 15 times before Sephiroth disappeared (And I used the same technique on Emerald Weapon and it took less time using the same levels and cheat... for fun mind you). I may be wrong about the HP, but it's still pretty damn high.

Ultima. Use lots and lots of Ultima.

And don't switch parties, cuz all your best materia will be on your main one and Sephiroth will kill your weaker parties more easily. You might not be able to switch back in time. The party-switching thing is a cool idea, I gotta give Square credit for that, but in reality it sucks.

Use the Jenova battle before Bizzaro to get your main party at limit break. Go in there, unload a boat load of damage, followed by quadra-magic and stuff. If things look bad, break out a megalixer

As for Safer...I've never had any trouble with him. Just do the same thing as the battle before, but make sure you keep your HP up. When he uses Super Nova, you'll have two choices:

Quickly use your limit breaks, since the former attack must have filled your limit gauges.
Heal and fight some more

As for him having tons of HP, just make sure you have a bunch of Megalixers, Elixers and X-potions. Equip Ribbons (recieved from morphed Tonberries) to counter the frog and sleep effects of the Boss. Do not use (or even have equipped) Summons, due to their stat reductions, but instead 4x-Cut and the multi-magic attacks to whittle him down and finish him with that gernade you recieved at the Parade on disc one.

Cheers!
