Alright, for a class, I have to select a group of people and poll them on whether they have dial-up or broadband. This is for world geography. I don't know what this have to do with geography, but oh well.

And if you vote, please sign this thread. I'll make up REAL signatures later.

I use to have dial up at $8/mo. The service was great, if I didn't have DSL, I wouldn't mind it again.

But those who can't afford broadband, dial-up from Starpower is a great alternative. And Netzero's High Speed dial-up isn't bad either.

I shall never go back to dial-up. Even if my life depended on it.

Broadband at its best is 6 times as fast as dial-up.

Dial-up.

How can you give up those sweet bleeping noises as you excitedly wait to connect? With dial-up, you tend to treasure the loaded page more than you would with broadband, as you need to wait longer with dial-up.

Broadband, thank God. It's not only faster, it saves me about 200 euros a month, with the way I surf the Net sometimes...

Broadband. If I ever went back to AOL (the non-broadband AOL at least) I'd go mad.

Broadband. I'm considering upgrading to 2mbps broadband, but I don't know if my computer can handle that anyway, so I probably won't.

Broadband, tis the power, meow, meow, meow.

It allows me to post the above junk 10 times faster then standard dial up (11.5 for us cos I rigged the line, hehehe).

Well its sooo hard to get broadband in england but hopefully I will be getting 1mb soon *crosses fingers* Now I can play call of duty without being occasionaly booted (although at a good connection time nobody seems to notice me).
