I've heard it's pretty easy to get, but I don't know what it tests. I know it's windows software and some basic hardware stuff, but specifically, I have no idea. Is it worth getting? In fact, just start ranting about it. I need info

It really depends. A lot of the certifications out there today have as much value as if you pulled it out of a cracker-jack box. The easiest way to see if a certification is worthwhile is to check out job listings and such and see what their requirements are. If multiple listings list the certification as a plus or requirement then it's a good certification. But on the other side of the coin, if you don't see the certification listed anywhere as a requirement, then it's probably not worth the certificate it's printed on .

It certainly paid off for me--My A+ cert was the deciding factor in getting me a couple of contracts with IBM.

That more than paid for the price of the cert, plus IBM is looking really nice on my resumé.
