I come to this site, becasue im a hardcore Final Fantasy fan. I love the older ones!!, and boy o boy o boy i was mad when i got FF11 adn downloaded on computer and it didtnt work:mad2: :mad2: :mad2:
any ways.
I was wandering were is the first RPG i ever played that i guess is a Final Fantasy game. Called Mystic Quest.
I love this game and its so awsome. Really easy but i love it. Could they at least make a page about it or have a rom for it.
Even though i have it but im mad that Mystic Quest isnt on here!

Actually FFXII has yet to even be released in Japan. Most likely you either meant XI, or downloaded a virus or something.

As for the whole Mystic Quest deal, there's no forum for it seeing as it never was part of the main stream FF's (I-XII) and as well barely anyone even makes a thread ever in it. In my 2+ years of being here I can't even recall 10 Mystic Quest threads, generally if there's not enough traffic on a certain thing, then a specific forum for it won't be made.

Shadow

Ok i changed it.
I meant FF11 i alwasy say that even when im talking about Final Fantasy 11.
My friend is like FF12 what the heck. anyways did anyone like the game or was it just me and a few of my friend that did. I love the game.

What exactly are you asking? Make the topic clear.

http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28066

Go there if you want to help make a FF:MQ page, I guess. Somebody else can answer why we don't have a forum for that game.

Bahamut2000X
03-10-2004, 02:46 AM
Sort of off topic but if your having problems getting FFXI running you should probally post in the help forum or something, and tell what's wrong, lot's of other people have had problems getting it to work at first, so you should probally make a seperate thread on it or something to get help from experty people.

Shadow

I was wandering why they didnt, witch you answered or directed me to the correct answer
The second as in my second post
HOW DID YOU LIKE THE GAME
and did anyone notice that it wasnt included, but deserves to,
So plz dont get all "What are u asking"on me

Del Murder

Yeah it was a cool little game. Some of the trickier parts made me mad as a bug though.

Bahamut2000X
03-10-2004, 02:50 AM
i think we're kind of asking "What arer you asking" because you sort of mentioned varius things such as FFXI, FFMQ and joining the forums and such. So it's kind of confusing with a thread starting with about 3 or so subjects in it.

But anyways I just realised your new so umm ya, welcome new person and such. Have a cookie *gives Shadow a cookie*

And by the way I did like FFMQ. Great game over all, fun and interesting.

If I were not a little mad and generally silly
I should give you some advice upon the subject willy-nilly
I should show you in a moment how to grapple with the question
And you'd really be astonished at the force of my suggestion
On the subject I should write you a most valuable letter, full of excellent suggestions when I feel a little better
But at present I'm afraid I am as mad as any hatter
So I'll keep it to myself, for my opinion doesn't matter!

Aye, verily, I be mad! Mad, I say! But in this, I take some solace: Though mad as a hatter I may be, at the very least, I be not mad as a bug!

Halooo, Mr. Potted Plant!

You just used a sentence fragment.

Additionally, you left the "s" out of "insane," which radically alters the meaning.

It’s a black fly in your chardonnay
It’s a death row pardon two minutes too late

Chorus:
It’s like rain on your wedding day
It’s a free ride when you’ve already paid
It’s the good advice that you just didn’t take
Who would’ve thought... it figures

Mr. play it safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
Well isn’t this nice...

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything’s okay and everything’s going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything’s gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

A traffic jam when you’re already late

It’s meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife

Ok back to the subject I think Mystic Quest is a very well put together game. If it was longer it would be number 3 on my all time list of games. Actually, Morissette's "Ironic" was criticized unendingly because only one of its vignettes - the man on the plane - could plausibly fit the song's title, and then only arguably so. The rest are simply unfortunate coincidences. And while some of them are highly unfortunate, they in no way carry the logically unexpected twist that creates "irony." To win the lottery, for example, does not in any way imply physical health, so the old man's death, while unfortunate, is in no way surprising - especially at his age. Rain on a wedding may add drear to a festive day, but the day's festivities in no way presume nice weather. And upon close inspection, all of the situations - i would include the plane incedent, personally, but some argue that flying is presumably safe - involve outcomes that are unfortunate, but none logically unexpected.

Some of Alanis' bigger fans argue that the real irony of the song is that none of the situations are actually ironic; the naysayers are just missing the point and falling into her intentional trap. Somehow, though, i doubt that. The vignettes all follow the same emotionally oriented pattern, as if a twist on good and happy feeling follows irony's definition. To me, this consistency implies an intentional interpretation of the word's meaning, misguided though it may be. By holding so strongly to the song's definition, Alanis presents no evidence that she might be applying sarcasm, so we can't assume as such.

Poor girl.
