This is just stupid it's not Nintendo's fault that Micheal's parents failed to read the warnings.

p.s. Sorry if this is old news, I just felt like posting something important.

Yeah, they have put those warnings on the games for the last 15+ years, it's old info that everyone knows. It'll be interesting to see what happens since it is a printed warning that you are supposed to read before you play the game (as everyone always does :rolleyes2 ).

They're always in the game manuals, or at least those of the consoles themselves, how stupid.

Just another example of parents finding a scapegoat for their irresponsibilities.

"We bought junior a bag of candy and let him play in front of the tv all day. We don't know what could have gone wrong."

Nintendo versus some misc family. Gee...who's gonna win?

Seriously, do we need disclaimers for EVERYTHING?

Seriously, do we need disclaimers for EVERYTHING? Yes. And apparently, disclaimers don't help, since the manual for every video game i've ever bought says "VIDEO GAMES MAY CAUSE :skull::skull::skull::skull:ING SEIZURES. IF YOU'RE AT RISK, DON'T PLAY THEM IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE SEIZURES."

So how long is it going to be before someone sues McDonalds again for hot coffee claiming that their coffee is defective because it's hot and they shouldn't manufacture a defective product?

I'd give it two months.

the thing that upsets me is some games even have a screen before the game starts that says, "please read the safety manual, some games may cause seizures.... press any button to continue." or something along those lines. So unless you can't read, you can't really ignore this screen.

hmmm, so I don't get sued, I'm adding to my signature.....

Let's not resurrect threads that are over 2 years old.
