So I decided to rebuy the GH FF8 today and noticed something a little weird, this may not matter to alot of people but I found it a bit interesting.

Anyway, I have seen the original, and I did own the GH of this a few years ago, what I remember is the orginal White disks with the unique art on them, also I remember the GH silver and black ( like the majority of ps1 GH disk art ) version with the same art, however when I opened what seems to be one of the final re release GH I noticed that the 4 disks are all white with the same art and logos.

I am wondering, has this change/merge with square and enix also changed the disk art for all SE GH games ?

Can anyone who has a GH SE edition see if 7 and 9 have also changed ?

I know, its not really a big a deal at all, I am just wondering.

Actually it can be a big deal to collectors. The original or rarest version of an item generally sells for more. I don't know how much this applies to video games, but I know that it DEFINITELY applies to other toys.

With me (being the RPG collector that I am) it does matter. I was lucky enough to get the original copies of FF7, 8, and 9 (yes, I still have the original pre-Greatest hits version of FFVII), but sadly my FF10 is in a greatest hits case and it says "SquareEnix" on it instead of "Squaresoft".:mad2:

That's pretty much what I was talking about right there. I know that an original release is certainly more appealing to me, BUT, if a special edition WERE issued (they get this stuff ALL THE TIME in Japan) I'd probably just buy that right away.
