What was the highlight(s) of the '90s? (Music, Movies, Comics etc.) ... Or were the '90s just crappy...?

I remember that Alternative music used to be cool towards the middle of the decade. I remember just listening at the Alternative station for hours and just enjoying the music, back in 96, I believe. And the Internet came into fruitation. The rest of the decade was kinda blah.

The birth of the true blockbusters. Independence Day, Terminator 2, Mission: Impossible, Jurassic Park, Twister, Titanic, Armageddon. . .
Yeah, they might not all be the greatest movies, but it's a true testament to the age of technology and entertainment we grow up in.
I'll try to list some things that haven't already been stated, but Strider's so right about the blockbusters.
The Spider-Man cartoon on Fox, Squaresoft's big games (namely Xenogears), Ren and Stimpy, Resident Evil, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Beavis and Butthead, PSM, grunge/alternative music (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, etc), gangster rap, the new Supra, Sony PlayStation... I've run out of things off of the top of my head.

I would say:
Oomph!
Stahlhammer
Megaherz
Rammstein
In Extremo
Subway to Sally
Weissglut
Schweisser
Tanzwut
Letzte Instanz
In other words, German Metal.

I just came back from Disneyworld, and I stayed at their PopCentury Resort. The 90s section featured the following:
Cellphones
Phat
Wazzup? (I thought that was 00-01?)
The Internet
Video Games (they were there in the 80s, but they came into omnipotency during the 90s)
...I don't remember anything else. I stayed in the 50s section.
