It seems like the world of passwords these days. Have you ever tried to figure out how many passwords you need to know? Between the internet, work and banking, I stopped counting after 25.

If I could recall my password for this account, I'd tell you, but I don't and I fear I may not be able to log back in if I ever log out.

I don't find it hard to memorize passwords, actually. I keep all of them written down. ...I need to remember where. ;__;

Lynx just request your password using the 'forgot your password, you idiot?' link.

I typically use the same password for message boards and email. Things that require letters and numbers, I'll write obscure PG catchphrases in alphanumerics (replacing vowels with numbers)

So I think I only have about six passwords, including my pin number.

I use random letters or numbers for about 99.5% of my passwords.

I can't remember how many passwords I've got to different internet sites... 30 or something?

Other than those: bank, cellphone, alarm, school... Not than many, actually.

I use a special piece of software to generate 10-letter, mixed-case alphanumeric passwords for me, then analyze each of the passwords that comes up (the software has a function for that) until I get one that would take a computer over 100 years to crack using a brute-force algorithm.

Example: PwR6ZhpvlZ

That would take 133 years.

Then how do you remember it?

I don't remember passwords. I use patterns on the keyboard such as

ominubyvtcrxez

Lots of stupid crap like that which is easy to type and right in front of your face.

I actually get that! lol

I have 3 passwords for everything. Nice and easy to remember. Mostly my school network password

I used to have something like that. Sure, it takes a computer 133 years but my sister mashes the keyboard and gets it in less than minute.

I have a monkey in my room at a keyboard producing seemingly random letters and numbers. I hope one day he'll produce a work of literature. Until that day comes he remembers passwords for me.

I have no idea how many I have. There would be quite a few, but I tend to forget about 'em unless I have to use them on a regular basis. *_*

I usually make my password something easy for me to remember (with about 6 characters) and sometimes I throw in some 1337 in the mix.

Random passwords aren't good. A good password is hard to guess AND easy to remember. One good method of forming passwords is to take the first letter of every word from a poem or song. oUaMdWiPwAw That's easy to remember and hard to guess. To make it more random throw some numbers into it; like replace all the a's with 7's. oU7MdWiPw7w That's really hard to guess, but really easy to remember, because it's based on something you ALREADY know, and you can generate it at run-time (so to speak). It's Poe's Raven in case you haven't figured it out.

I don't know how many sites and whatnot I have passwords for. Likely upwards of 50. I have about 10-15 different passwords I keep for various sites, but I don't usually have a problem remembering any of them.

3.

Mostly, they're really dumb obvious stuff like my old ICQ number and my second name (haha). Sometimes I combine them. And I know, they say you should make them obvious, and have different ones. But I'm lazy.

Dis you ever wonder why phone numbers are 7 numbers long??? It is because on average a person can remember 7 things in their short term memory

No. No, I can't say I have wondered that.
