Also if you master every summon materia, and collected the huge red materia, return to Cosmo Canyon where the huge materia are kept and approach the huge red materia. It will replace all your mastered summon materia with the Master Summon materia.

To easily master summons (like KotR) use Cloud and Cid's triple AP weapons and fight Magic Pots in the Northern Crater.

As far as I know you can get as many as your inventory will allow. You can also get Master Command.

You get Master Command, Master Magic and Master Summon from beating Emerald, just take the item you get to the old man in Kalm and he'll give them to you. You can also get any of the masters by mastering all the materia of that type and speaking to its crystal as I mentioned above.

I thought there was another master materia. I could be mistaken since there's 4 big materia and I'm jumping to conclusions. One question though, does master materia only replace the materia of its type that you've mastered, or all materia?

It basically is a combination of one of each mastered materia of that type. Naturally every time you master an individual materia it creates a new unmastered one, so you can repeat the process many times.

The red, green, and yellow huge materia combine mastered materia of their type. The purple huge materia doesn't combine materia, it gives you Bahamut from Zero summon materia (assuming you have Bahamut and Neo-Bahamut summon materia).

That's what I've heard, but it's a paradox in that. The point of a Gold Chocobo is to get KotR, but in order to beat Ruby, you would probably need KotR.

no matrix, its not easy to beat him with zero bahamat and mime. its POSSIBLE but hard and long, 5 hours i think. lucky 7 is best bet but i consider that cheap like ff8s the end and ffxs zanmoto.

no that gold chocobo is awful anyway. just breed your own, much more fun and u can win a fortune at the gold saucer with a well bred gold chocobo.

but yeah, fighting those movers and magic pots is so fun, i have NINE mastered materia of each type. its also relativly short. its so much shorter getting that then max stats in the sunken ship.

i think personally emerald is so much harder then ruby, yet ruby wold best emerald 1 on 1. ppl r just disceived by his whirlsand move and imunity to attack if u have more then 1 character alive.

Mastering KotR, though, does require to forfeit your social life, and possibly your education too. I was never bothered. Level 3 was as far as I ever got it.
